Build-Lite was commissioned by Barratt Redrow Homes to supply a lightweight alternative to traditional cast stone coping and corbels for the St. George’s development, Morpeth.
The brief was clear: resolve on-site handling and installation challenges without compromising on appearance or architectural consistency.
The original specification called for traditional cast stone corbels and coping units. However, their weight created practical issues during installation, including:
Barratt Redrow required a solution that would maintain the aesthetic of the original stonework while significantly reducing weight and simplifying installation.
Build-Lite designed and manufactured bespoke Stone-Coat lightweight corbels and coping units, carefully colour-matched and styled to replicate the existing stone detailing across the development.
