North Wales based construction company, G M Jones Ltd, is building a new £1.3m head office in Llanrwst on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park in record time thanks to adopting a range of innovative building methods. One of these is our Future Found foundation system.
Future Found is a passive foundation system that is manufactured off site and installed in 2 to 3 days rather than the 2 weeks it usually takes using traditional materials. This means major cost and time savings – as much as 30% savings on both materials and labour costs.
In addition to cost savings, Future Found also offers high insulation qualities and has been continually improved to eliminate wall floor cold bridges. One of the key features of the system is that it will not diminish over time and is unaffected by water.

GMJ continues to grow from strength to strength, and in September 2016 GMJ will be relocating to it’s new £1.3m headquarters in Llanrwst, North Wales. The new 13,700 sq. ft. premises will enable the company to provide new offices, workshops and showroom and will create 40 new jobs and safeguard a further 46. The scheme has received support from the Welsh Governments Economic Growth Fund, with Economy Minister, Edwina Hart, recognizing that ‘construction is one of the key sectors for high growth potential in Wales’
It’s no surprise that GMJ chose to use Future Found. Over the years, the company has pioneered the use of ‘fast track’ construction methods. They adopted the widespread use of insulating concrete formwork, especially in the social housing sector and will be using it in the construction of their new offices.
Introduced in the USA in the 1930’s by world renowned architect Frank Lloyd Wright, our Future Found foundation system has been constantly improved to meet the exacting needs of the 21st Century and is now considered to be one of the fastest and most cost effective ways for laying foundations.
Future Found is suitable for all ground conditions, including heavy clay soil, offering time saving on machine time and spoil removal. It is also eminently suitable for all types of building material including brick, block and timber frame etc.
