We’ve been working with high end building contractor Norfolk Homes for many years. They started in 1985 and in that time have built over 3000 new homes across the County of Norfolk. One of their latest projects is a development of new houses that has been greatly influenced by modern and innovative European and Scandinavian architecture.
Located less than 3 miles from Norwich at Manor’s Reach, Sprowston, the small town, with a population of around 14,000, already has Scandinavian connections in the fact that the town takes its name from the Scandinavian personal name ‘Sprow’ and ‘ton’ meaning village.
Even though the village became a Town in 2011 it still retains its old-world charm. It is against this background that we have worked closely with the client to supply a range of lightweight products that not only enhances the new homes but reflects the heritage and rural nature of the area.
These include lightweight chimneys, dormers and door canopies in addition to our unique Stone-Coat string course and copings. It was important, for the client, that all products supplied reflected the high standard of finish. For example, the executive homes feature large floor to ceiling windows, spacious vaulted rooms, open plan layouts and balconies.
